Congrats to FSU for Claiming Their First Ever ACC Championship

By Jake Heston

Congratulations to the Florida State Seminoles for taking down the red-hot UNC Tar Heels to claim their first ever ACC crown. As predicted by our ACC specialist, Spencer Pyke, with a great team effort, FSU lifted themselves past the Tar Heels, 85-82.

Heading into the madness, there's no doubt that the Seminoles are one of, if not, the hottest team entering the tourney. With back-to-back wins over Duke and UNC, it's fair to say FSU can dance with any team.
Florida St. coach Leonard Hamilton had this to say after winning the championship:
"It means a lot to the program to be able to crack into the upper echelon of such a rich tradition. We want to keep building the program so we can contend on a regular basis." Via ESPN.
After a stellar performance in ACC tourney, it's hard to predict where Florida St. will end up. They'll have to bring their A+ game to beat 'Cuse, Cincinnati and Ohio St. if they plan to advance to the Final Four out of the highly-respected East bracket.

Star point guard Michael Snaer (18 points yesterday against UNC, 4-5 from the arch) and forward Bernard James will have to give it all they got if they plan on carrying this team deep into March.

Good luck to them, and to every team who's made it to March!
