NBA Bro of the Day: Deron Williams

By Jake Heston

Setting a franchise record for points in a game, Deron WIlliams has earned his second career B of the D - but more importantly, respect, most likely in the form of cash-money coming his way at the end of the season.

The soon-to-be free agent scored 57 points in an incredible effort Sunday night against the Bobcats, going perfect from the foul line (21-21) while dishing out seven assists.

The Nets are going to need to make a move for Howard before the trade deadline (March 15th) if they expect D-Will to be throwing on that Brooklyn Jersey next season.

"The Nets could go 0-82 and I look at you like this sh*t gravy," won't help persuade anyone to BK, Jay.

We all know the Nets got the money between Jay and Prokhorov so hopefully we'll see a move made to acquire some talent to go along with D-Will so he doesn't need to drop 57 points for the Nets to win. Congrats again to D-Will on a record-setting night and grabbing his second Bro of the Day.

NBA BofD Honorable Mention
Rajon Rondo: With trade speculation looming over Rondo, he clearly didn't let it effect his play on the court last night, going for a classic triple-double - 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 20 assists - in a nail-bitter as the Celtics edged out the Knicks in OT. Since the trade talk started, Rondo has been brilliant on the court, showing he could be the Celtics franchise player. We'll see what happens, but don't expect Raging Rondo to be moved anytime soon.
