College Hoops Bro of the Day: Jordan Theodore

By Jake Heston

Today's Bro of the Day goes to Seton Hall PG Jordan Theodore for going straight lights out from the field last night to humiliate the Hoyas. As Seton Hall desperately looked to strengthen their case for an NCAA March Madness bid, Jordan's career-high 29 points (5 for 5 from behind the arch), 5 assists and 4 rebounds against #8 Georgetown couldn't have had better timing.

There’s no doubt this kid has some serious talent, and that he's a very respectable player. The Pirates are 11-3 this season when Theodore scores 16+ points, and a mere 8-6 when he scores 15 and under - talk about carrying the team on his back. It probably didn't hurt that he spent his entire rising-senior summer playing in several NBA Lockout-inspired leagues alongside KDtrey, Anthony Morrow, Marhsawn Brooks, Ryan Gomes, Al Harrington and John Lucas to name a few.

But will Theodore be able to carry the Pirates into the dance? Or will Brick City's finest fall short for their seventh consecutive season?

The only way I see the 19-8 (8-8) Pirates dancing is if they win out against Rutgers and Depaul or win at least one game in the Big East tourney. The reality is that their only impressive win of the season came last night against the Hoyas. On paper the Pirates win over Uconn on January 3 will play into their favor - but everybody knows that Uconn is trash this year. We’ll just have to wait and see how long Jordan Theodore can stay hot 'cause the Hall's destiny is riding on him...

In the meantime: Congrats to Jordan and Seton Hall for keeping their dream alive! And WOW those white/grey AR2s are FIRE, my dude! #PirateLife
