Next Tuesday, Tennessee Titan Kenny Britt of Bayonne is due back in court in relation to a Hoboken incident.
Britt will be in court at 10 a.m. on charges that were downgraded to disorderly persons offenses in relation to an incident at a Hoboken car wash in June when two plainclothes Hoboken police officers smelled raw marijuana coming from Britt's car.
They arrested Britt after a struggle after the cops saw what appeared to be a cigar filled with marijuana - called a blunt - in his hand. Police said Britt crushed the blunt in his hand when police tried to take it from him. They also believe someone picked up and destroyed the evidence while they struggled with Britt, reports said.
Britt's most recent court date was Sept. 20. While the Bayonne native did not show up, his attorney Alan Silber came to represent him.
