Defenseman Andrew Blazek of Robert Morris University and goalie Rob Madore of the University of Vermont were the lucky two Pittsburgh natives that got invited to participate in the Penguins Summer Development Camp, The Pittsburgh Sports Report says.
Damn, that sounds foire.
Kevin Sneddon, Madore's head coach at Vermont, wasn't surprised to see his goalie get the invitation.
“Over time I have watched him develop into one of hockey’s premier goaltenders,” said Sneddon. “I think Pittsburgh wanted to see him against NHL caliber players at their camp.”
Getting invitations to camps like the Penguins DC is exactly what Madore needs to be doing if he wants to continue following the footsteps of The Sportz Broz NHL Bro of the Year, Tim Thomas.
You have to watch this incredibly smooth WPTZ.com Vermont Channel Five's "UVM's, Rob Madore, Forms Wall In Front Of The Net," video in which Madore robs Harvard of everything but their future fortune 500 internet companies.
